Emily Bliss is a Physical Therapist in Bend, Oregon, where she lives with her husband and three children. Emily was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, which is where she gained a love for the great outdoors and adventure. She studied Exercise Science at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Simmons College in Boston in 2012. Emily has a background in orthopedics and sports medicine, and specializes in treating running related injuries and endurance athletes. Seeing a need in our healthcare system, Emily has also added pelvic health to her repertoire, and is passionate about treating women throughout pregnancy and postpartum. Her expertise helps patients safely bridge the gap from motherhood back into an active lifestyle.
Emily loves to run and has completed 10 marathons, including qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon x3, once while pregnant. She owns her own coaching business, Mums on the Run, where she coaches runners of all levels and abilities. She and her husband completed Ironman Lake Placid in 2014, and continue to enjoy an active lifestyle in Bend, OR, including cross country skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Emily’s goal is to eventually run an ultra marathon!
